As of February 2025, significant redevelopment efforts have commenced at the former military resort in Kupari. Heavy machinery has been deployed to the site, initiating the clearing and fencing off of the area in preparation for demolition and subsequent construction.

The redevelopment plan entails the demolition of all existing hotels within the former military complex, with the exception of the historic Grand Hotel. Notably, this includes Hotel Pelegrin, a structure of significant architectural value, which, upon its completion in the early 1960s, was the largest hotel on the Adriatic in both volume and capacity.

During this extensive redevelopment phase, access to the Kupari area is restricted, and it is no longer open to tourists. Visitors are advised to avoid the vicinity for safety reasons and to respect the ongoing construction activities.
